Wineries visited by HILL COUNTRY WINE TOURS
I like to have my clients experience the following wineries:
William Chris Vineyards - This is one of the newest wineries in the area. The folks working there are friendly & the wine is quite good. Wine makers Chris & Bill pride themselves in producing as natural a product as you can find. The menu changes frequently & is typically a hit with my clients.
Sister Creek Vineyards - This is one of my personal favorites. The facility is a cotton gin from the 1880's. I take clients on a guided tour in the back of the winery where I explain wine making techniques. They offer 8 wines that have been very well received by my clients. All that & the staff is outstanding!
Singing Water Vineyards - This place is off the beaten path - way off, but well worth the trip! The setting is postcard Texas Hill Country - a red barn on a (seasonal) creek. They have some outstanding wines, a beautiful setting and the gals working are a great source of wine education.
Texas Hills Vineyards - Located in Johnson City, Texas Hills offers a large variety of wines that are probably the most purchased by my clients.
Rancho Ponte - The wines offered here are unique; they are styled differently than any others in the area. Not many places can you get a white port....but you can at Rancho!
Grape Creek Winery - The facility alone is spectacular. They offer an assortment of wines where most anyone can find something that fits their palate. They also have an extensive gift shop. Do you like port? I think theirs is the best in the Hill Country.
